Hello, I am Prasad. My name means “Gift from God.” Indeed, God has blessed me several gifts – I love to paint, sing and write. When I was very young, I was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Type-1), a degenerative problem that affects the spinal cord and nerves. The love and support of my Family, who never let me feel “different,” has given me the strength to overcome these problems and live life to the fullest.

Friends of mine, at an organisation called Jeevan, which sponsors my treatment, helped me create this web site. It allows me speak my mind and tell you about my life, so that anyone can interact with me or find out more about SMA.
